This fantastic Storm in the Rocky Mountains Bierstadt painting is well worth checking out – we recently bought a beautiful handmade version from the Oil Painting Shop and are well chuffed with the result!!! Take a look below to see how it turned out…

We are absolutely delighted with how it turned out and the photo probably doesn’t even do justice for what arrived at our door last week! We took a look through their gallery, as they had lots of Bierstadt paintings to pick from.

We hope to maybe order some more in the future, but need to get this one framed first before that! After all the excitement over this work, i think i should add some information about the original below! Of course, Bierstadt was an artist from the Hudson River School, along with people like Cole and Moran. All his works were of this style and subject and he remains one of the best known Hudson River School artists.

The reproduction took around 1 week to complete, with a further 8 or 9 days or so fir it to arrive at our home. The artist himself was out in China, which we were a little worried about, but am pleased with the final result, and would use these guys again without a second thought now. Initially, we’d actually wanted a print, and didn’t realise you could get a handmade oil painting copy, to such a high accuracy and at a price which to us seems really reasonable (about $240).
